7) on all of the above rules you have a right to appeal. if you are being deducted points you will be emailed on the date that the website is updated or in some cases before. if you have made more than 15 transfers in a gameweek you will be asked why you have done so. if these transfers have taken place for any reason outside of fantasy challenge - i.e. you are playing in another league, the points deduction will be carried out as outlined in rules 2-6. if however you have done over 15 transfers in advance of an important cup match or a reason related to fantasy challenge you will be asked to explain why more than 15 changes were required. fantasy challenge cannot see any reason that completing more than 15 transfers would benefit your side, to complete more than 15 transfers we can only assume you have changed your squad and a player has got injured in that week forcing an extra transfer. you will be given your chance to explain, however, please heed this warning you will stand less than a 10% chance of winning your appeal.

negative points

8) any negative score for a gameweek which is -40 or more you will be expelled from the fantasy challenge. your results in your super20 league will be removed and the league will continue with one less team. matches against you being removed from the other teams records in the league. if you are still involved in any of the cup competitions you will be removed. in the group stages of the champions league or pyramid cup your results will be removed and the group will continue with one less team. in the knockout stages of those competitions and the fc cup your opponent will be given a bye into the next round.

9) if you score between 0 to -39 in a gameweek your squad will be investigated. if the score has come about due to excessive transfers, the rules 1 - 6 as outlined above will deal with the case. if it is decided that your negative score was posted deliberately you will be deducted 3 points from your super20 league.

10) if you commit this offence for a second time an additional 10 point deduction will be made from your super20 league.

11) if the second time you commit this offence it is against the same opponent in your super20 league you will be expelled from the fantasy challenge. your results in your super20 league will be removed and the league will continue with one less team. matches against you being removed from the other teams records in the league. if you are still involved in any of the cup competitions you will be removed. in the group stages of the champions league or pyramid cup your results will be removed and the group will continue with one less team. in the knockout stages of those competitions and the fc cup your opponent will be given a bye into the next round.

12) if the offence occurs for a 3rd time you will be expelled from the fantasy challenge. your results in your super20 league will be removed and the league will continue with one less team. matches against you being removed from the other teams records in the league. if you are still involved in any of the cup competitions you will be removed. in the group stages of the champions league or pyramid cup your results will be removed and the group will continue with one less team. in the knockout stages of those competitions and the fc cup your opponent will be given a bye into the next round. 13) on all of the above rules you have a right to appeal. tf you are being deducted points you will be emailed on the date that the website is updated or in some cases before. if you have scored 0 to -39 points you will be asked why this has happened. if the reason is for any reason outside of fantasy challenge - i.e. you are playing in another league, the points deduction will be carried out as outlined in the rules 9-12. if however you can explain the reason you stand a good chance of avoiding the points deduction. however, please heed this warning in over 10 years of fantasy challenge negative scores have normally been down to postponements, bad whether conditions, so few games were played. if the circumstances are different from these you will stand less than a 10% chance of winning your appeal.

low scoring

14) the lowest score each week in fantasy challenge will be recorded this score will be reviewed if it is not within 10 points of the next lowest score in the fantasy challenge.

15) if you have failed to score within 10 points of the next lowest score, your team will be reviewed for transfers and squad selection. if the score has come about due to excessive transfers, the rules 1 - 6 as outlined above will deal with the case. if you have selected players who are either suspended or known to have long term injuries in place of players who are fit and not suspended or squad players who are never used it will be deemed that you have deliberately tried to score lowly, you will be deducted 3 points from your super20 league.

16) if you fail to score within 10 points of the next lowest score for a second time again your team will be investigated. if the score has come about due to excessive transfers, the rules 1 - 6 as outlined above will deal with the case. if you have selected players who are either suspended or known to have long term injurues in place of players who are fit and not suspended. if you have made no changes to your team but the low score has come about from a previous offence where you transferred in or selected unfit or suspended players or squad players who are never used it will be deemed that you have deliberately tried to score lowly, you will be deducted 10 points from your super20 League.

17) if when you committed the offence as outlined in rule 16 it is against the same opponent in your super20 league you will be expelled from the fantasy challenge. your results in your super20 league will be removed and the league will continue with one less team. matches against you being removed from the other teams records in the league. if you are still involved in any of the cup competitions you will be removed. in the group stages of the champions league or pyramid cup your results will be removed and the group will continue with one less team. in the knockout stages of those competitions and the fc cup your opponent will be given a bye into the next round.

18) if you have been scoring lowly regularly, upon investigation you have not been making any changes to your team this is not deemed as match fixing just a loss of interest in the game, scoring lowly like this is different to deliberately picking players to post a low score. no action will be taken against managers who lose interest.

19) on all of the above rules you have a right to appeal. if you are being deducted points you will be emailed on the date that the website is updated or in some cases before. if you have scored less than within 10 points of the next lowest score you will be asked why this has happened. if the reason is for any reason outside of fantasy challenge - i.e. You are playing in another league, the points deduction will be carried out as outlined in the rules 14 -17. if however you can explain the reason you stand a good chance of avoiding the points deduction. however, please heed this warning it is very hard to justify picking players who are injured and players who have not played any games or are suspended so unless you can prove otherwise you will stand less than a 10% chance of winning your appeal.

20) fantasy challenge separates itself from other fantasy games by making the competition personal with the head to head leagues. you are expected to respect this competition and understand that your actions do not just effect your own team by deliberately scoring low can mean another manager in the game misses out on promotion or winning prize money. at all times you are expected to make decisions which are the best for your team. if, upon investigation, you cannot justify that your decisions was not to your benefit in fantasy challenge, fantasy challenge will take action against you.

21) all decisions in fantasy challenge are made by founder paul richardson, his decision is final on all matters, each player has the right to appeal. this process though will be handled by paul richardson. any incident which involves paul richardson will be reviewed by co-founder steve martin and potentially senior players within the game (players that have more than 5 seasons in the game) will be contacted for their opinion.

premier league - making transfers

(taken from season 2011-2012 gameweek dates for wildcards could differ)

after selecting your squad you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. unlimited transfers can be made at no cost until your first deadline.

after your first deadline you will receive 1 free transfer each gameweek. each additional transfer you make in the same gameweek will deduct 4 points from your total score (classic scoring) and match score (head-to-head scoring) at the start of the next Gameweek.

if you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following gameweek. if you do not use this saved free transfer in the following gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. you can never have more than 1 saved transfer.

wildcards

a wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a gameweek. you can use up to 2 a season.

playing your wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same gameweek. one wildcard can be played at any time. the january wildcard can only be used after gameweek 20 starts (2 Jan 11:30) until gameweek 23 ends (4 Feb 11:30); as the january wildcard isn't available until after the gameweek 20 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is gameweek 21. when playing a Wildcard, any saved free transfers will be lost. you will be back to the usual 1 free transfer the following gameweek.

player prices

player prices change during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. player prices do not change until the season starts.

the price shown on your transfers page is a players selling price. this selling price may be less than the players current purchase price as a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest £0.1m) will be applied on any profits made on that player. for example, if you buy a player for £8.3m and when you transfer him his price is £9.0m, his selling price will be £8.6m.
